Donald A. Norman   Donald A. Norman

Don Norman is the Chief Mentor of reQall Inc. He advises the company on its product design, usability and overall product direction.

Don is co-founder of the Nielsen Norman Group, Professor at Northwestern University, and former VP of Apple Computer. He serves on many advisory boards, including Chicago’s Institute of Design and Encyclopedia Britannica. In 2006 he was awarded the Benjamin Franklin Award in Computer and Cognitive Science.

He has honorary degrees from the University of Padova (Italy) and the Technical University Delft (the Netherlands) and is the author of “The Design of Everyday Things” and “Emotional Design.” He is now writing “The Design of Future Things,” discussing the role that automation will play in such everyday places as the home, and automobile. He lives at www.jnd.org.

Rao is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of reQall Inc.

Rao brings considerable start-up and international experience to reQall. He has taught in universities, was a Principal Scientist at Apple Computer for over ten years, heading various groups including the Learning Lab, one of Apple’s three research labs. He holds six patents in computing. Rao is a member of Board of Councilors of NSF’s Center on Multi-Media Computing (IMSC) at the University of Southern California and serves on the Advisory Board of the Edward De Bono World Centre for New Thinking based in Malta.

Rao has an interdisciplinary educational background in public health (MPH from California State University at Northridge), general systems and information networks (Certificate from United Nations Institute for Research and Training, University of Stockholm and UCLA), and instructional technology (Doctorate from University of Southern California).

Sunil oversees product development at reQall and contributes to the company’s product vision.

Prior to reQall, Sunil worked at France Telecom and Apple Computer. Sunil’s interests include Human Memory Assistance, Information Retrieval, Information Extraction, Information Visualization, Knowledge Acquisition, Organizational Memory, Speech Recognition, and Interface/Interaction design. He has three patents and his research has been extensively covered in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Newsweek, CNN, and MIT Technology Review.

He received his Ph.D. from MIT’s Media Lab, his Masters Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, and his Bachelors Degree in Cybernetics from UCLA.

Pratapa is the Chief Marketing Officer of reQall Inc. He drives the overall marketing strategy and is responsible for customer acquisition and building the global brand for reQall.

He works closely with the product teams to deliver delightful products for reQall's customers. Pratapa Bernard is a seasoned Telecommunications and Information Technology industry professional with 20 years of experience in Product Management and Marketing.

Prior to joining reQall Inc, Pratapa was Head of Marketing and Products at OnMobile Global Limited and was instrumental in leading the development of several innovative mobile products and applications tailored for both Emerging and Developed Mobile Markets. Pratapa championed the creation of the OnMobile Developer Network program, a first of its kind for speech enabled mobile products in the industry. During his 9 year stint as part of the core team that transformed OnMobile from a startup to a successful publicly listed company, Pratapa established the company’s first international office, led the integration of the companies that were acquired by OnMobile and managed the transition of the organization as it scaled globally to serve its customers across 22 countries.

In the 90's, during his 8 year tenure at IBM, Pratapa held various positions of responsibility including IBM's Country Manager for e-Business Solutions and Head of Networking Products. Pratapa holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

Reed is the Chief Financial Officer of reQall Inc. He has held a variety of positions in corporate finance and general management, including CFO, Senior Vice President, and Director for privately held companies.

He currently assists several start-up and going concern companies in the area of corporate finance, M&A and equity placement. His background includes SEC filing, litigation management, and private and semi-public equity and debt placement with a variety of companies ranging from start ups to profitable, mature market enterprises. As Director and Senior Group Vice President for Burke Industries in San Jose, Reed acquired and managed four product lines resulting in worldwide market leadership in aircraft seals and “stealth” military applications. As Vice President and Controller for Velo Bind, he engineered an increase in stock price without the addition of new equity. Reed has provided financial consulting services to such emerging growth companies such as Mirra, Castelle, Verity, MIPS Computer, Innovative Concept, and NYSE companies such as Anthem Electronics.

He holds a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California and an MBA from San Jose State University.

Deb is the Vice President, Products for reQall Inc. Deb has over 25 years of experience in leadership roles for high technology companies.

She is a results-oriented executive, with a broad background that includes expertise in technical management, financial analysis, business plan development, marketing research, and product management.

Deb’s previous corporate roles include Global Development Manager for Educational Systems at IBM, Director of Development at Sybase, and Vice President of Development at Decisionism, a venture-funded startup. She was the founder and CEO of Pensieve Software, a voice recognition application company.

She received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1977 and an M.B.A. from Colorado State University in 1986.

Grant Goodale   Clarence Chan

Clarence Chan is the VP of Engineering for reQall Inc. At reQall he is responsible for overseeing reQall’s engineering efforts.

Prior to joining reQall, Clarence worked at Magically Inc., an ASP for Virtual Desktop, WorkSpace Collaboration and Mobile Synchronization. While working at Magically, Clarence had served several major clients. He lead the web mail and PIM solution for the Financial Times portal, NOW, PCCW, Hong Kong CSL, Hong Kong Trade development Council, and CPCNet. He also lead the team for serving the work space collaboration application for Li & Fungs, the biggest trading company in Asia. Clarence’s expertise includes, mobile device software development for Symbian S 60, Blackberry and Windows Mobile.

Clarence holds the US Patent no 6571245 for Virtual Desktop. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree for the University of Manitoba, Canada.

Rajib drives the user experience of all reQall products and overall company brand identity.

Prior to reQall, Rajib worked for Oracle India as a Senior Interaction Designer and for Smartifacts. Llc.

Rajib has extensive experience with design standards and patterns, interaction design, and user testing. He also has experience in the area of media and advertising. Rajib studied design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India.

Ash is the Managing General Partner of Edge Venture Capital and a Founding Director of reQall Inc.

Ash has over ten years experience in strategy and high-technology investment in the Silicon Valley and recently headed the State of California’s $60 million Next Generation Internet investment fund and was instrumental in establishing test beds in UC Berkeley and the San Diego Supercomputing Center. He serves on the advisory board of the Robert H. Smith School of Business Center for e-Service and the Scientific Advisory Board of Integrated Media Systems Center at USC. Ash earned a Ph.D. in Management in 1996 from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in Philadelphia.
