      reQall on Windows Mobile

reQall for Windows Mobile (download 'reQall.CAB', 472 KB) allows you to record your thoughts at the press of a button. Your voice recordings are stored on your Windows Mobile SmartPhone or PDA, and can be played back at any time. When your device is connected to the Internet it will automatically download a text version of your recording, so that you can easily read your thoughts and reminders. The client is currently in alpha status, and we welcome feedback on any problems you experience using it, or new features that you would like to see.

Getting started

To start using reQall Windows Mobile client, you need:

  • A Windows Mobile 5 Edition based PDA or smartphone with WiFi capability.
  • WiFi Internet connection. You need to be in range and your device needs to be connected.
  • Optional external storage card (SD, CF, etc.) to provide extra space for recordings.

Step 1:
Connect your device to a PC using the data synch cradle. Load the reQall Windows Mobile Client installer file into your device using Microsoft ActiveSync and install it (see page 2 of manual for details).

Step 2:
Open reQall Windows Mobile Client. Go to Options -> Account Config and enter your reQall account and password. If you don’t have a reQall account you will need to sign up for one.

Step 3:
You’re ready to record new notes or listen to your reQall recordings!

For detailed installation and usage instructions look at the reQall Windows Mobile User Manual (237 KB).

System requirements

reQall Windows Mobile Client Alpha is supported on any Windows Mobile 5.0 PDA or smartphone. We recommend use of an external memory card if available, to allow local storage of recordings.

File Storage

Your reQall voice notes are stored on your PDA as .wav files, and can be copied to your desktop using ActiveSync if you want to use them in other programs, or make a local backup.
