Still cooking in the reQall labs - the reQall PC application is an early prototype. We welcome your feedback on what you would like to see.

The reQall PC application (download) gives you a visual interface to reQall. Just like reQall’s phone access, you can record things you want to remember and listen to existing recordings. The PC application also provides the ability to see your transcripts, mark tasks as completed and delete your recordings.

A common use of the PC application is to see your daily summary. Click the right button, and then click “Show reQall Browser.” In the drop-down box below the add and reQall buttons, you can then select “Summary for today”. You’ll see a list of all your events for the day, your pending tasks, and any notes you created in the last day. To listen to your recordings, just press “reQall”.

“Fast playback” plays the first 3 seconds of each recording. Once you’ve pressed “reQall”, just press the “tab” key once to enable “fast playback”.

Tasks include a checkbox labeled “pending”. Select this box when a task is completed. You’ll no longer hear or see this task when you reQall your daily summaries. To hear it again, just click the box again, to change it back to “pending”.

You can also delete recordings from the PC application. Simply select the recording(s) you wish to delete, then select “Actions”, then “Delete”. This permanently removes the recording from reQall.

To make a new recording, click “Add”. You’ll need a microphone with your computer to make recordings. Once you have completed your recording, click “Stop”. You can then set how you want the recording saved. If you choose task or meeting, you can also select a date. If you don’t want to use tasks, meetings, and notes to label your recordings, just check “Don’t ask me again, just add it as a note.” When you’ve completed the settings, just click “Add”.
